Carl Simon has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Carl is currently working as the VP of Infrastructure & Sustainability at Foodlink since March 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Sr. Director of Infrastructure & Sustainability at the same company from December 2021 to April 2023. Before joining Foodlink, Carl worked at Blue Water Baltimore, where they served as the Director of Programs from April 2015 to March 2019. Carl also briefly held the role of Interim Executive Director at the same organization from January 2017 to June 2017. Carl's previous experience includes working as a Division Manager - Finance and Administration at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources from January 2013 to April 2015. Carl also worked for the State of Maryland as a Budget Policy Analyst from November 2009 to January 2013 and as a Governor's Policy Fellow from May 2009 to January 2010. Carl's earliest work experience was as a Volunteer Crew Leader at Habitat for Humanity of Catawba Valley from August 2007 to June 2008.
Carl Simon received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Guilford College, where they attended from 2003 to 2007. Carl then pursued a Master's degree in Public Administration with a focus on State and Local Government Financial Analysis and Management at Syracuse University - Maxwell School from 2008 to 2009.
