James Brief

James Brief is a Pediatrician with experience in both clinical and academic settings. In 2020, they began working as a Pediatrician at Tribeca Pediatrics. In 2021, they became an Assistant Attending Pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine. In 2019, they co-founded Showcase Holograms. From 2015-2019, they worked as a Camp Doctor at Camp CHEN-A-WANDA during the summers, supervising healthcare for several hundred campers and staff. In 2016, they were the Chief Medical Officer of biotechnology company FoodMarble, where they developed AIRE, the world's first personal, portable digestive tracker. In 2019, they also worked as a Pediatrician at Locum Tenens. From 2013-2009, they were a Physician at Stony Brook Children's Hospital and Maimonides Medical Center, respectively. At Stony Brook, they treated pediatric patients age 0-21 for a variety of gastrointestinal disorders and won awards for developing a colonoscopy app for patients.

James Brief attended Cornell University from 1998 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with a focus in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies, Computer Science, Middle Eastern Studies, and Astronomy. James then attended Ross University School of Medicine from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in Medicine. James obtained a New York State Medical License in December 2012.
