Daniel Beckmann is the co-founder and CEO of Foodshed.io, an online platform that connects food producers with distributors and retailers. Prior to Foodshed.io, Beckmann was the founder and president of Correlate.io, an analytics platform and business intelligence tool. Daniel also previously served as the managing director and lead business development at Schmooru, a media company, and as a director-supporter generated video at Obama for America. Beckmann started their career as a producer/reporter at ABC News.com before becoming a line producer at Australian News Channel (Sky News) and then a Washington reporter at Billings Gazette Communications.
Daniel Beckmann's educational career began at Ottawa Hills High School. Daniel then went on to study at Washington University in St. Louis, where they earned their BA in Political Science and American Culture Studies. Afterwards, they attended Northwestern University to earn their MSJ in Broadcast Journalism. Finally, they completed their education at the European Graduate School - Switzerland, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Media Philosophy.
