Paula West MS, RDN, ACC

Paula West MS, RDN, ACC has been working in the nutrition and healthcare field since 1991. Paula started their career as the Owner and Financial Advisor at Applied Assets, LLC in 1991. In 2009, they became a Founding Partner and Registered Dietitian at Southwest Dietetic Group, Inc. In 2010, they took the role of Critical Care Dietitian at The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. In 2014, they became the Clinical Nutrition Manager, UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center at Aramark Healthcare. From 2015 to 2023, they held two roles at Abbott, first as a Population Health Executive, where they developed strategic partnerships with payers, ACOs, vertically & horizontally integrated physician groups, and oncology groups to help optimize quality outcomes by leveraging therapeutic nutrition, and then as a Therapeutic Nutrition Specialist - Acute Care, where they empowered healthcare professionals and hospital leadership to leverage therapeutic nutrition to optimize both patient clinical outcomes and hospital financial outcomes. Paula is currently a National Account Executive at Foodsmart.

Paula West MS, RDN, ACC has an education history that includes a BS in Nutrition/Dietetics summa cum laude from The University of New Mexico, a BA in Economics from The University of New Mexico, and an MS in Nutrition from The University of New Mexico. Paula also attended St. Anne's School in Windermere, England. In 2021, Paula completed an Executive & Leadership Coaching Program from InviteChange. In addition, Paula has obtained certifications from the International Coaching Federation, Commission On Dietetic Registration, and NATIONAL BOARD OF NUTRITION SUPPORT CERTIFICATION INC in 2009, 2012, and 2022 respectively.
