Miguel Montiel

Miguel Montiel is a Senior UX Designer at Foodstuffs New Zealand, leading research initiatives to bridge offline and online behaviors in grocery shopping and food preparation, utilizing human-centred methods to improve customer experiences. Previously, Miguel served as a Design Researcher at Gravity, where in-depth interviews informed customer support strategies for One NZ's help desk service. Experience includes a role as a Design Lecturer at Auckland University of Technology, focusing on Design Thinking and adapting digital tools for remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Miguel's background also features design research in public space revitalization in Monterrey, enhanced visitor experiences in Querétaro's museums, and social development initiatives in rural Mexico, supported by a comprehensive academic foundation with a PhD in Creative Technologies from Auckland University of Technology and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in design fields.
