Carla Ward

Carla Ward currently serves as the Head Coach of the Women's National Team at the Football Association of Ireland, a position held since January 2025. Prior to this role, Carla was involved with the U.S. Soccer Federation as the coach for the Women’s National Team in the Paris Olympic Games 2024 from July 2024 to January 2025. Carla's coaching career includes stints at Aston Villa Football Club (June 2021 - June 2024) and Birmingham City FC (June 2020 - June 2021), where Carla also served as head coach for Birmingham City Women. Earlier, Carla was the Women's Head Coach at Sheffield United Football Club from January 2016 to July 2020. In addition to coaching, Carla owned and operated Havana Stitch and Print (previously Discount T-Shirt Printing) from August 2006 until June 2021, providing embroidered corporate clothing and uniforms. Carla holds a degree in Sports Performance and Sports Management from the University of Bath.
