David Courell currently serves as the Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer at the Football Association of Ireland since March 2022. Previously, David held various senior roles at The Football Association from January 2017 to March 2022, including Head of 2030 FIFA World Cup Bid Feasibility and Head Of Business Management, where significant contributions included introducing a Strategic Business Planning Framework and developing The FA's 2020-2024 Strategy. Prior experience includes leadership roles at the British Paralympic Association, where David was Deputy Chef de Mission for both the Rio 2016 and Sochi 2014 Games, and a tenure at Deloitte UK as a Management Consultant. David's career also includes experience with the London 2012 Organising Committee, managing event operations and venue development. David holds a Masters in Business Studies (International Business) and a degree in Commerce (Marketing) from University College Dublin.
