Gareth Payne

Gareth Payne began their career as a Trainee Accountant at Huw J Edmund Chartered Accountants in May 2006 and transitioned to become a Senior Accountant at KTS Owens Thomas in October 2007. Gareth then joined the Football Association of Wales, serving as the Deputy Head of Finance from January 2012 to May 2023, before taking on the role of Head of Finance starting in May 2022.

Gareth Payne completed their BSc (Hons) in Business Information Technology from Swansea University in 2005. Gareth then pursued the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants qualification at ACCA from 2007 to 2011. Finally, in 2014-2015, they obtained the UEFA Certificate in Football Management from the University of Lausanne.
