Richard Smale

Richard Smale is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in system coordination, strategy, and transformation within the healthcare sector. Currently serving as the Interim Director of System Coordination at NHS England South West, Richard also contributes as a Grants Panel Member at the Football Foundation. Previously, Richard held the role of Executive Director of Strategy and Transformation at both BaNES, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board and BaNES, Swindon and Wiltshire CCG, where responsibilities included overseeing transformation programmes. Richard's background includes a tenure as Programme Director for the Healthy Futures Transformation Programme at NHS Bristol, as well as experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Royal United Hospital Bath. Richard holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Kingston University.
