Brian Smith is an experienced educator and professional with a diverse background in English and technical writing instruction. Currently serving as an English and Technical Writing Instructor at De Anza College since November 2007, Brian previously worked as an English Instructor for the UC Berkeley & San Francisco State Prison University Project in early 2006. Prior experience includes roles such as Business Development Manager and Territory Manager at RSA The Security Division of EMC and Micro Focus, respectively, from the late 1990s to the mid-1990s. Brian holds multiple degrees, including an MA in English Literature and BA degrees in both Creative Writing and English Literature from San Francisco State University, along with an extensive educational background from various institutions, including De Anza College and Stanford University.
