Na Omi Judy Shintani

Na Omi Judy Shintani is an accomplished artist and educator with extensive experience in community art initiatives. As the founder and facilitator of Kitsune Community Art Center since 2006, Shintani has curated art benefits for organizations such as Doctors Without Borders and the National Japanese American Historical Society. In addition, Shintani serves as an art instructor at Foothill-De Anza Community College District, teaching adults with challenges, and has been a teaching artist at Creativity Explored, working with adults with disabilities since 2014. Shintani's role as a community engagement facilitator at Kitsune Community Art Studio involves creating interactive art experiences that promote self-exploration and empathy. Contributions to the Northern California Women's Caucus for Art as the Professional Development Chair underscore a commitment to community growth and activism among women artists. Shintani holds a Master's degree in Transformative Art from John F. Kennedy University and a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from San José State University.
