Felicia Friesema has a diverse work experience with various roles. Felicia started their career at The Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation as a Special Event Coordinator from December 2000 to December 2001. Felicia then worked at YWCA San Gabriel Valley as a Development and Special Events Coordinator from March 2002 to October 2003. In 2003, they joined Foothill Transit and held multiple roles, including Public Information Officer from October 2003 to September 2005, Marketing and Communications Manager from September 2005 to May 2012, and eventually became the Director of Marketing and Communications from May 2012. Felicia also worked as a Freelance Writer for LA Weekly's online food blog, Squid Ink, from July 2009 to November 2013.
Felicia Friesema's education history includes a variety of fields. Felicia attended Penn State University, where they studied Strategic Communications. Felicia also attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County, focusing on English. Additionally, they studied Culinary Arts at Ecole de Cuisine Los Angeles.
Felicia completed their high school education at Atholton High School from 1986 to 1990. During their high school years, they also participated in the People to People Student Ambassador program, specifically visiting the USSR in 1989.
