Peter Furniss

Peter Furniss has extensive work experience in the energy industry. From 2010 to the present, they have served as the Chief Executive Officer at Footprint Power LLC, where they work with existing owners of older electric generating facilities to optimize their value and address environmental concerns. Prior to this role, Peter worked as the Regional General Counsel, Northeast at NRG Energy from 2007 to 2010. Peter also served as the General Counsel, Tamuin International Inc. at Exelon from 2005 to 2007, and as the VP & Assistant General Counsel at Sithe Energies from 2000 to 2005. Before entering the energy industry, Peter began their career as an Associate at Debevoise & Plimpton from 1995 to 2000.

Peter Furniss's education history includes a BA degree in Classics from Columbia College, Columbia University, which they obtained from 1985 to 1989. Following this, they pursued an MA degree in Classics from Columbia University from 1990 to 1991. Additionally, Peter attended Harvard Law School and earned a JD degree in Law from 1992 to 1995.
