Joshua Hsu

FTC Robotics Team Lead Programmer And Club Founder President at FOR INSPIRATION AND RECOGNITION OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (FIRST)

Joshua Hsu started their work experience in 2017 as the FTC Robotics Team Lead Programmer and Club Founder + President at FIRST. In this role, they built and programmed robots for competitions using CAD and Java. Joshua incorporated custom-designed pieces made with 3D printers or CNC mills.

In 2019, Joshua became a Walnut High School Cybersecurity Club Officer at the Air & Space Forces Association.

In 2021, they participated in an internship project at AMI-USC, where they researched and developed medical innovations. Joshua specifically worked on the development of an artificial meniscus, conducting stress test simulations on an artificial lateral meniscus design.

In 2023, Joshua took on two roles: Industry Chair at the Association for Computing Machinery at UCR and Secretary at Cybersecurity at UCR.

Joshua Hsu completed their education at Walnut High School from 2018 to 2022, where they earned their High School Diploma in the field of High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates. Joshua then went on to attend the University of California, Riverside from 2022 to 2025, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
