Ginger Burton has a diverse and extensive work experience history in the fashion industry. Ginger began their career in 2007 as a freelance costume designer, pattern maker, and seamstress for GNB COSPLAY. Ginger then went on to work as a motivational speaker for Chocolate Covered Cosplay starting in 2011. In 2016, they became a small business owner and operated L. Royalty Clothing, specializing in Harajuku-inspired ready-to-wear and lingerie.

From 2017 to 2019, Ginger worked as a product development technical designer for Unique Vintage, where they created initial specs and held fittings for various garments. Ginger then transitioned to a role as the director of technical design at Fashion Nova in 2018, managing and developing a team of 16+ employees and providing guidance and training on fit issues.

In 2019, Ginger joined iLuminate as a freelance wardrobe supervisor and costume designer, working on celebrity collaboration projects and the Las Vegas Residency Show. Ginger also served as a freelance costumer for Carnival Cruise Line, where they tailored and fixed costumes for their international cast of performers.

Most recently, Ginger worked as a freelance technical designer for MeUndies, working on men's and women's loungewear. Ginger was responsible for hosting fittings, making pattern corrections, and updating specs.

In 2022, Ginger took on the role of a costume technician for Royal Caribbean Group, where they tailored and fixed costumes for the Ice Skating cast and Broadway Theater Cast aboard the cruise ship. Ginger also currently holds the position of a Senior Technical Designer at For Love & Lemons.

Ginger Burton has pursued their education in the field of apparel design and merchandising. Ginger obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Apparel Design and Merchandising from California State University, Northridge. Additionally, they completed their Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from Pasadena City College. Ginger also attended Los Angeles Trade Technical College to study pattern making. The specific start and end years for each educational institution are not provided.
