Senior R&D Engineer at For The Record (FTR)

Jaime Calitto has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In their most recent role as a Senior R&D Engineer at For The Record (FTR) since January 2021, they have conducted market research, collaborated with engineering and sales departments on product feasibility, and revamped products for optimization. Previously, from August 2017 to December 2020, Calitto worked as a Senior System Engineer at FTR, where they programmed, configured, installed, and provided support for AV equipment. Jaime also developed technical documentation and troubleshooted audio DSP and control systems.

Prior to FTR, Calitto worked as a System Integration Technician from March 2016 to August 2017, where they installed and integrated FTR products and contributed to over 300 installations. Jaime also gained experience in sound engineering and audio post-production in roles at Aural Mind Audio Post, Son by Four Music, and as a Freelance Consultant.

In addition to their audio-related roles, Calitto also has experience in education as an Audio Production Professor & Department Head at Colegio de Cinematografía, Artes y Television from August 2007 to July 2015. Jaime instructed students in sound recording, maintained the campus recording studio, and supervised faculty members.

Earlier in their career, Calitto worked as an Audio Production Engineer at Sivar Audio Post from July 2007 to November 2012, managing recording and studio operations. Jaime also served as the Chief Engineer at Crossroads Musik from January 2008 to December 2010, overseeing music production for multiple labels.

Lastly, Calitto has experience outside of the audio industry as the Executive Director of Hyde/Jackson Square Main Street from January 2003 to January 2007. In this role, they mentored and coached small business owners, coordinated fundraising activities, managed budgets, and developed marketing plans.

Overall, Calitto brings a comprehensive skill set in sound engineering, audio post-production, AV equipment installation, and project management to their work.

Jaime Calitto has a diverse education history. Jaime first attended The New England Institute of Art from 2002 to 2004, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Audio Production. Following this, in 1999 to 2002, they pursued courses in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Universidad Centroamericana 'José Simeón Cañas'. In 1997 to 1999, they completed an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering Technologies/Technicians from Instituto Tecnico Ricaldone.

In terms of further education, Jaime Calitto took courses on Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a focus on Advertising at Universidad Metropolitana from 2009 to 2010.

Additionally, Jaime Calitto has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2016, they completed the Tesira Forte Online Training from Biamp Systems. In the same year, they became an Avid Certified Instructor for Pro Tools v12. Earlier, in 2013, they had already obtained the Avid Certified Instructor certification for Pro Tools v11. Finally, in 2017, Jaime Calitto completed the Q-Sys Level 1 training from QSC.
