Paul Jones has a diverse work experience in software engineering. Paul started as a Software Engineer at Premium Phone Services in 1992, where they managed and administered the company's Premium-Rate IVR services platforms. Paul then worked at Macfarlane Telesystems from 1994 to 2007, starting as a Software Engineer and eventually becoming a Senior Software Engineer and Team Leader. At Macfarlane Telesystems, they designed and implemented large-scale Computer Telephony software systems and provided third line support for software faults.
From 2007 to 2018, Paul worked at TMQ International Pty Ltd as a Principal Software Engineer. During their time there, they implemented a marine chart management and rendering solution and continued the development of marine navigation applications based on user requirements.
In 2018, Paul joined Crowd Machine as a Software Engineer. In this role, they explored new areas of functionality and designed solutions in a dynamic and multi-skilled team. Paul also reviewed and advised on coding standards to maximize the readability and maintainability of the code-base.
Most recently, Paul started working at For The Record (FTR) in 2020 as a Software Engineer. The details of their role are not provided.
Paul Jones attended the University of York from 1988 to 1991, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science.
