Filipe Fernandes has over 17 years of professional experience in software development. In 2004, they began their career as a Software Developer at Husky Injection Molding Systems. In 2007, they became a Contract Software Developer at Deloitte, where they developed custom software related to tax info submissions. In 2008, they moved on to become a Contract Software Developer at MTS Allstream. In 2009, they became a Contract Software Developer at Score Media Ventures, where they developed an ELT based system using Python and MySQL for sport stories, stats, and box-score ingestion. In 2012, they transitioned from a contract developer to a Senior Software Architect at theScore, Inc., where they managed a team of 20+ software developers and transitioned from RightScale to an internal DevOps team. In 2015, they became a Platform Engineer at Unata Inc., an Instacart Company, where they developed API/Backend services and ETL ingestion and optimizations. In 2021, they moved on to become a Senior Software Engineer at Chorus.ai, and in 2022, they became a Software Engineer at Forage.
