Thomas Eappen Mathew has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Thomas Eappen started their career as a Hotel Operations Management Trainee at Taj Coromandel Hotel in 1993. Thomas Eappen then served as a Faculty Food Production at Merit Swiss Asian School of Hotel Management from 1994 to 1996. Thomas worked as an Executive Chef at Arif Castle Hotel Dubai from 1996 to 1997. Thomas Eappen then transitioned to the role of an Area Manager at Hadi Enterprises from 1997 to 2000. From 2000 to 2012, Thomas held the position of Divisional Manager at Truebell Marketing & Trading LLC, where they were responsible for heading the non-food division. In 2012, they became the Country Head - India at Everstyle Hotel Supplies India Pvt.Ltd. Thomas Eappen then moved on to become the Business Head/ Director at Horeca Concepts India Private Limited in 2016. Currently, Thomas is serving as the Brand Development Head at Forbes Industries since 2018.

Thomas Eappen Mathew completed their high school education at Shrine Vailankanni Senior Secondary School from 1984 to 1990, obtaining their XII degree. Thomas Eappen then pursued a Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology (DHMCT) at the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition in Taramani, Chennai from 1990 to 1993. Later, in 2007 and 2008, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from Indira Gandhi National Open University. Lastly, from 2008 to 2010, they earned a Master of Arts degree in Tourism and Travel Services Management from Madurai Kamaraj University.
