Gabriel Gheorghiu

Gabriel Gheorghiu has extensive experience in the field of system administration. Gabriel began their career in 2013 as a Systems Administrator at the Maryland State Police. In this role, they were responsible for configuring and managing various systems such as Microsoft AD, DNS, FTP, SFTP, SSH, SMTP, SNMP, WSUS, SCCM, VMWare vSphere, Dell PowerEdge Servers, EqualLogic, and PowerVault SANs. Gabriel also provided support for a 400 user Active Directory environment and performed user account changes and access rights using Microsoft Active Directory. Gabriel then transitioned to Forbright Bank in 2019, where they worked as a Senior Systems Administrator. Recently, they took on the position of AWS Cloud Administrator. The dates for their most recent role are ongoing.

Gabriel Gheorghiu completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree at the University of Maryland from 2002 to 2007. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2022, the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate from AWS in December 2021, the CompTIA Security + from CompTIA in July 2015, the CompTIA Network + from CompTIA in March 2015, and the CompTIA A+ from CompTIA in September 2013.
