Jason Truppi has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. In 2008, they started their career at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a Supervisory Special Agent. Jason then joined Tanium in 2015 as a Director, where they focused on Endpoint Detection and Response. In 2017, they became an Advanced Cyber Studies Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where they enhanced their knowledge of cyber policy and management.

In 2018, Truppi co-founded ShiftState Security, a cybersecurity company aiming to make security more accessible to businesses. In 2019, they took on advisory roles at ALTR, Armis, and Tonic, providing their expertise in the cybersecurity field. Jason also co-founded and served as the CEO of Paydrop, a company that was acquired in 2021. Additionally, they co-founded THESEUS and served as the CTO before its acquisition.

Most recently, Truppi co-founded ForceMetrics in 2020, a data analytics software platform that seeks to improve the way law enforcement engages with communities through data science. Jason Truppi attended the University of Nevada, Reno from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, they have also earned several certifications including Certified Blue Team Incident Response Boot Camp from the National Security Agency, Certified Pen Tester & Ethical Hacker (GPEN) and Certified UNIX Security Administrator (GCUX) from GIAC, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) from Cisco, and Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) also from GIAC.
