Joe Muriana serves as the Associate Vice-President for Government Relations & Urban Affairs at Fordham University, a position held since August 1985. Responsibilities include representing the university at the federal level and engaging with local Bronx, NYC, and New York State stakeholders to further institutional priorities. Additionally, Joe has coordinated various urban affairs initiatives, including community and neighborhood housing and economic development, as well as managed the university's real estate portfolio. Prior to this role, Joe was the Executive Director and Lead Community Organizer for the Northwest Bronx Community & Clergy Coalition from 1975 to 1985. Joe holds a Master of Arts in Political Science and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University.
