Beverley Tew

Interim Lead Non-Executive Director at Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office

Beverley Tew was appointed as a Non-Executive Director at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office in September 2020.

Beverley has over 3 decades experience as a chief financial officer and commercial leader in the public and private sectors. She is Finance Vice President at Burberry and led the set-up of the new corporate headquarters in Leeds. Prior to that she was at the BBC for 18 years where she was Group Finance Director at a time of significant transformational change for the broadcaster. She qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young.

Beverley has also worked in the children’s charity sector for over 15 years. She is a Trustee and member of the Audit Committee of Plan International (UK) and previously she was a Trustee and Chair of the Audit Committee of BBC Children in Need.
