Charles Ray is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in diplomacy and international relations. Currently serving as Trustee and Chair of the Africa Program at the Foreign Policy Research Institute since October 2020, Charles has also been a Freelance Writer for Uhuru Press since September 2012. Previous roles include Ambassador at the US Embassy in Harare and in Phnom Penh, as well as Consul General at the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh. Additionally, Charles held the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary for POW/Missing Personnel Affairs at the United States Department of Defense, and served as a Diplomat in Residence at the University of Houston.
