Doug Stoner's work experience includes serving as a State Representative for District 40 in the Georgia House of Representatives since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Business Development at Foresite Group since 2019. From 2003 onwards, they have been the President/Principal of LD Squared, Inc., where they provided business development, economic development, and government affairs consulting services. Doug has also held various governmental affairs consultant roles for multiple organizations and served as the Chairman of the South Cobb Redevelopment Authority from 2013 to 2023. In addition, Doug served as a City Council Member for the City of Smyrna from 2016 to 2018 and as the Vice-Chair of the Smyrna Downtown Development Authority from 1991 to 2016. Other roles include managing director at the Development Authority of DeKalb County, director of business development at Croy Engineering, senator for District 6 in the Georgia State Senate, and senior business development manager at PBS&J Inc. throughout their career.
Doug Stoner attended Kennesaw State University from 1983 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Political Science and Government.
