Alicia Hammond

Community Engagement Librarian/Manager at Forest Park Public Library

Alicia Hammond has worked in the library field since 2009. Alicia began as a Library Assistant at Kraft Foods/Churny Cheese, then moved to River Forest Public Library as a Library Instruction Volunteer. In 2009, they were also a Library Assistant at Dominican University. In 2010, they were a Reference Librarian at North Park University and a Corporate and Small Business Liaison Librarian at Schaumburg Township District Library. In 2017, they became an Adjunct Instructor at San Jose State University. Since 2013, they have been a Community Engagement Librarian/Manager at Forest Park Public Library, where they work to engage the community and staff members through programming, digital and print communications, reference services, and outreach.

Alicia Hammond attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Alicia then attended Dominican University from 2008 to 2010, where they earned a Master of Library and Information Science degree.
