Jodi Gianakopoulos

Jodi Gianakopoulos has over twenty years of work experience. Jodi began their career in 1998 as a Retail Store Manager for Second Hand Tunes. In 1996, they were a Music/Sidelines Manager for Rizzoli bookstore in Chicago, Illinois. In 2003, they were the Owner, Master of Ceremonies, and DJ for Mama Bee Entertainment and the Owner/Founder of The Old School Records. In 2007, they were the World Music Director for WRRG Triton College Radio. In 2006, they were the Program Host for The Old School Playground with DJ Mama Bee at Triton College Radio. In 2012, they were the Co Producer, Promotions, Marketing, Booking, and Event Coordinator for the Madison Street World Music Series. In 2018, they were a Special Recreation Leader for the West Suburban Special Recreation Association and a Reference and IT Paraprofessional for the Forest Park Public Library. Most recently, in 2019, they were an Adult Services Associate for the Addison Public Library, where they specialized in program design for adults centered around physical and mental wellness and lifelong learning.

Jodi Gianakopoulos obtained a BA in Anthropology and Asian Studies (Japanese and Chinese languages) from the University of Iowa between 1988 and 1993. In June 2019, they earned a Standard First Aid, CPR and AED certification from the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. In April 2020, they obtained a Support Staff Membership from the American Library Association.
