Ellen Shultzabarger

Ellen Shultzabarger is currently serving as the Associate Deputy Chief of the U.S. Forest Service since 2023. Previously, they held various leadership roles at the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources from 2014 to 2018, including Division Chief of Conservation & Ecological Resources and State Forester. Ellen also worked as a Program Coordinator at Tufts University from 2001 to 2003 and contributed to the National Wildlife Federation's Strategic Programs Initiative between 1999 and 2000. They are currently pursuing studies in the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at the Harvard Kennedy School and in Natural Resources Management at The Ohio State University.
