Jeff Kroll is an experienced soil scientist with a career spanning over two decades in the field of environmental science. Currently serving as the West Zone Soil Scientist for the U.S. Forest Service since January 2017, Jeff has previously worked as an ecologist at Barr Engineering Co. from March 2013 to December 2016, where responsibilities included threatened and endangered species reviews and wetland delineations. Prior to that, Jeff spent nearly nine years at USDA-NRCS as a soil scientist, contributing to significant soil mapping and survey efforts for the National Cooperative Soil Survey program. Jeff Kroll holds a Master of Arts in Physical Geography with an emphasis on GIS and soil organic carbon sequestration from Miami University, and a Bachelor of Science in Watershed Management, Biology, and Soils from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
