Jim Beck has extensive experience in conservation and partnership coordination, primarily with the U.S. Forest Service since 2008, where current responsibilities as Partnership Liaison involve enhancing collaboration with The Nature Conservancy. Previous roles include National Partnership Coordinator and International Programs Liaison, as well as managing technical cooperation programs in Africa. Jim Beck has also served as a Brookings LEGIS Fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives and has held positions with NOAA, the Wildlife Conservation Society, the World Resources Institute, Conservation International, the Peace Corps, and WWF. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Sustainable Development and Conservation Biology from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Albion College.
