Michael Copeland

Michael Copeland currently serves as Division President at Forestar Group Inc. since November 2023. Previously, Michael held the position of Texas Region President at Rausch Coleman Homes from August 2017 to May 2022. Prior experience includes serving as City Manager at DR Horton from July 2004 to August 2017, where oversight included day-to-day operations of sales, construction, and purchasing in Midland/Odessa, Texas. Michael began a career in the golf industry, starting as Assistant Golf Professional at Shady Oaks from January 1999 to August 2001, followed by a role as Golf Professional at Vaquero Golf Club from August 2001 to April 2004. Michael earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Texas A&M University from 1990 to 1994.
