Rachel Zhao

Rachel Zhao is a software engineering intern at Capital One, where analysis of Google Ads API data and implementation of data quality checks have enhanced marketing data for business analysts. In addition to this role, Rachel has served as a teaching assistant for the Computer Science course at the University of Virginia, overseeing labs and assisting students. As a community coordinator for HackCville, Rachel has organized large-scale events and fostered connections between the university and local organizations. Previously, Rachel held positions as Counselor Director and Inter-Program Manager for the National Association of Japan-America Societies, where leadership and coordination of cultural exchange programs were pivotal in adapting innovative solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Rachel holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia and a high school diploma from Maggie L. Walker Governor's School for Government and International Studies.
