Jaime DuMont has held various roles throughout their work experience. Jaime started their career as a Laboratory Technician at SC Johnson in 2009, where they worked on improving formulas of products such as Windex and Fantastik. Jaime then became a Supplemental Instruction Leader at Panther Academic Support Services, where they held review sessions and attended lectures to help students with various subjects.
In 2011, DuMont joined the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee as a Research Assistant, where they worked on single molecule manipulation and developed a procedure for preparing fluorescently labeled kinesin motors. Jaime also served as a Teaching Assistant, preparing lesson plans and grading exams and lab reports for chemistry courses.
From 2017 to 2019, DuMont worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at CIC nanoGUNE, where they participated in two projects: one focused on developing advanced hybrid organic-inorganic thermoelectric materials using vapor phase infiltration, and another collaborating with other research centers to create a corrosion protection strategy for steel in harsh environments.
Most recently, in 2019, DuMont joined Forge Nano, Inc. as an R&D Scientist, though no end date is provided for this role.
Jaime DuMont has a strong educational background in the field of chemistry, with a focus on physical chemistry. Their education journey began in 2006 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they pursued studies in Chemical Engineering. They then transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry with a Biochemical emphasis. Building upon their undergraduate studies, Jaime went on to pursue a higher level of education at the University of Colorado Boulder. From 2011 to 2016, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physical Chemistry.
