David Provan

David Provan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in safety management and research. As the Founder and CEO of Forge Works and Safety Futures, David focuses on optimizing safety practices in complex operating environments, while also innovating digital learning experiences for workplace safety. In addition to hosting the Punk Rock Safety and The Safety of Work podcasts, David holds the position of Adjunct Fellow at Griffith University, where responsibilities include supervising safety research and managing the Safety Science Innovation Consortium. David's previous roles include General Manager of Health, Safety, and Environment at Origin Energy, and Head of Quality, Environment, Health & Safety at Siemens. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Safety Science from Griffith University, an MBA in Finance and Economics from Deakin University, and a Master's in Health Science specializing in OHS and Risk Management from QUT.
