Justin Somaini

Justin Somaini is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various prominent companies. Currently serving as a Partner at YL Ventures since March 2017, Somaini supports the growth of cybersecurity startups. Additional advisory roles include positions at Orca Security, DoControl, and Unity Technologies. From January 2016 to January 2023, Somaini was the Chief Security Officer at Malwarebytes and previously held prominent cybersecurity positions at Box and Yahoo!, where significant strides were made in establishing and reforming security strategies. Somaini began their career at Symantec as Chief Information Security Officer, contributing to major improvements in security processes and risk management. Educationally, Somaini holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Drexel University.
