Katie Sweet has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Katie started their career at Hewlett Packard Enterprise in 2016 as a Software Engineering Intern. After that, Katie worked at Utah State University, where they initially served as a Teacher's Assistant from 2015 to 2016. During their time at the university, Katie also worked as a Research Assistant from 2013 to 2017. As a Research Assistant, they focused on analyzing and fitting data to physical models related to plants' stomata heterogeneity. Additionally, they rewrote a program in C++ to enhance user-friendliness and streamline data processing. Following this, Katie joined Space Dynamics Laboratory in 2017 as a Software Engineering Intern, building and testing autonomous drones using computer vision technology for GPS denied environments. At Propeller Health, they held two roles: Platform Engineer from 2018 to 2021 and later promoted to Manager of Platform Engineering from 2021 to 2023. Currently, Katie is working as the Manager of Software Engineering at Forj, starting in April 2023.
Katie Sweet received their Bachelor's degree from Utah State University, where they studied Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics. Katie attended the university from 2013 to 2018.
