Amicia D. Elliott, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Amicia D. is currently working at Form Bio, where they started in 2022. Amicia D. initially held the position of Product Manager from July 2022 to February 2023 and then was promoted to Senior Product Manager. Prior to this, they worked at Colossal Biosciences as an Advisor and Product Manager from May 2022 to July 2022.

Before their entrepreneurial venture, Dr. Elliott worked at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Intramural Research Program (IRP). Amicia D. held various roles at NIH, including Research Fellow from November 2019 to May 2022 and Postdoctoral Fellow from July 2014 to November 2019. During their time at NIH, they worked on optimizing a light-sheet microscope, developing alpha software for neuronal activity imaging, and studying behavior in fruit flies.
Additionally, Dr. Elliott has been involved in teaching and mentoring roles. Amicia D. served as Course Faculty for Quantitative Fluorescence Microscopy at MDI Biological Laboratory and Course Facilitator and Instructor for Optical Microscopy & Imaging in the Biomedical Sciences at Marine Biological Laboratory.
Dr. Elliott started their academic research career at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where they pursued a Ph.D. in Molecular Physiology & Biophysics from August 2009 to June 2014. Amicia D. also completed a Master's thesis in Biological Sciences at The University of Alabama in Huntsville from January 2008 to May 2009, focusing on the characterization of a polyglutamine binding protein.
Prior to their academic pursuits, Dr. Elliott worked as a Technology Marketing Analyst at Purdue Research Foundation from 2004 to 2006, where they were involved in producing prior art portfolios, market reports, and marketing portfolios for bio-nanotechnology, cancer therapeutics, medical devices, and diagnostics.
With a strong background in research, product management, entrepreneurship, and teaching, Dr. Amicia D. Elliott brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to their current role at Form Bio.
Amicia D. Elliott, Ph.D. holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Physiology and Biophysics from Vanderbilt University. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Genetics at Purdue University. Amicia D. also obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
