Joseph Nipko

Joseph Nipko has a strong background in AI/ML and computational sciences. Joseph is currently the Vice President of Artificial Intelligence at Form Bio, where they lead a team of deep learning scientists in the development of advanced applications for protein engineering, gene therapeutics, and de-extinction. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of AI/ML at Form Bio, where they were responsible for leading a team of deep learning scientists and serving as the hiring manager for AI/ML resources in biology.

Before joining Form Bio, Joseph served as the Head of Computational Sciences at Colossal Biosciences, where they led a team of deep learning scientists on problems in molecular biology and bioinformatics. Joseph was also responsible for integrating machine learning and artificial intelligence into a NoCode platform needed by biologists and forming partnerships with external organizations for analytics services.

Prior to their work in the biosciences field, Joseph held various leadership roles in the field of data science and analytics. Joseph was the Vice President of Science at Cognira, Chief Scientist at BlackLocus, Principal Data Scientist at EY, Chief Scientist at Zilliant, Director of Research Development at Nomis Solutions, Director of Solution Management and Field Services at SAP, and Senior Manager at both Wells Fargo and American Express.

Overall, Joseph Nipko has extensive experience in leading teams, developing advanced applications using AI/ML, and integrating machine learning and artificial intelligence into various industries.

Joseph Nipko completed their education in Physics with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Colorado State University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University at Buffalo, where they studied between 1989 and 1991.
