Alex Polizzotti

Alex Polizzotti is a highly skilled materials characterization engineer currently serving as a Staff Materials Characterization Engineer at Form Energy since January 2023. Prior to this, experience includes working as a Development Engineer II at First Solar, where management of the analytical lab for the California research center involved leading a team in advanced materials analysis techniques. At Alta Devices, Alex Polizzotti oversaw process design for materials characterization of III-V compounds. Earlier roles include a postdoctoral researcher position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focused on solar device development, and a Junior SunShot Fellow at the Department of Energy, where Alex organized an international industry meeting on CZTS photovoltaic absorbers. Alex Polizzotti holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and a BA in Chemistry from Pomona College.
