Jim O'Connell

Jim O'Connell has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jim started their career at MIT as a Facilities Coordinator from 1988 to 1990. Jim then became a Co-Owner of OLCON CORP., d/b/a LUBE STOP, where they successfully founded and managed a quick lube business from 1985 to 1995. After that, they worked as a Facilities Manager at Repligen Corp from 1992 to 1996. Jim then joined Genome Therapeutics Corporation as a Senior Manager Operations from 1997 to 2003. Jim later worked at GPC Biotech Inc. as a Director of Operations from 2003 to 2007. Currently, they are employed at Forma Therapeutics, where they have held the positions of Senior Director of Operations since 2008 and recently became the Executive Director of Operations in March 2022.

Jim O'Connell completed the Building Technology Program at Northeastern University from 1996 to 1999, earning Certificates of Professional Achievement in Facilities Management and Building and Construction Management. Prior to that, they attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy from 1976 to 1980, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering. In 2020, they also obtained the Facility Management Professional (FMP®) certification from IFMA.
