Farokh Shahabi

Farokh Shahabi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Farokh is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Formaloo, a position they have held since January 2020. Farokh is also a Mentor at Startup Wise Guys, starting in February 2021.

In their previous roles, Farokh has been involved in various organizations. At Idearun, they served as a Board Member starting in August 2020 and was the Executive Chairman from November 2013 to July 2020. Farokh co-founded Eventbox, an online platform for events, where they held the roles of Co-founder & Board Member and later Co-founder & CTO. Farokh played a significant role in organizing events for TEDxTehran as a Director, Co-organizer, and Technology Director.

Farokh also served as a Board Member and Managing Partner at HostInstall from June 2009 to December 2019. Farokh was a Consultant at Pardis Technology Park from August 2018 to June 2019. Additionally, they worked as a Mentor at SeedOn Nopayar from September 2014 to December 2017. Farokh was recognized as an NGL Grant Winner by UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry in 2016.

In their early career, Farokh co-founded Bipfa, a prominent micro-blogging service and social network in Iran. Farokh served as the Co-founder & Product Manager and helped it gain recognition and awards, including the FARA Prize in 2012.

Overall, Farokh Shahabi has demonstrated their expertise in various leadership, mentorship, and advisory roles throughout their career.

Farokh Shahabi completed a Project Management Professional (PMP) program at the Project Management Institute from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2014, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering (Software) at Shahid Beheshti University. In addition, they obtained a certification in "Leadership basics: to make a difference" from THE LEADERSHIP GROUP - Netherlands in September 2013.
