Infrastructure Operations Engineer at FormAssembly

Joshua Reiniger has a wealth of work experience. Starting in 2005, they served as a Field Signals Intelligence Operator and Arabic Linguist with the United States Marine Corps, where they were responsible for installing and operating communications equipment, translating and transcribing collected target communications, and leading a team of four while holding accountability for equipment worth over $500K. Joshua also acquired knowledge on various satellite communication systems to establish secure network connections of sensitive equipment to national databases.

In 2010, Joshua began working at Red Frog Events as a Senior System Administrator and IT Manager. In this role, they were responsible for architecting and administering an AWS environment for dynamically-scalable web applications, facilitating QA testing and deployment pipelines of web applications, and installing and maintaining networks and servers across multiple corporate and warehouse locations.

Most recently, Joshua has been working at FormAssembly Inc. since 2019 as an Infrastructure Operations Engineer. In this role, they are responsible for delivering FormAssembly applications reliably, securely, and with minimal delay. Joshua also collaborates on planning, designing, and deploying technology and resources within the FormAssembly environments leveraging AWS IaaS, and maintains the FormAssembly infrastructure environments by participating in day-to-day system administration and helping scale existing services to support capacity needs.

Joshua Reiniger's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Computer Science from Northeastern Illinois University, which they obtained between 2010 and 2012. Joshua also has an Associate of Arts in Arabic from the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, which they obtained between 2005 and 2006. Prior to that, they attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville from 2001 to 2003, but did not obtain a degree. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Advanced Open Water Diver from NAUI Worldwide in September 2019, Open Water Scuba Diver from NAUI Worldwide in February 2019, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2017.
