Chris Walters, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Investments & Business Development at Formation Bio, having progressed through various roles within the company since January 2022. Previously, Chris worked at Blue Matter from April 2019 to January 2022, attaining the positions of Manager, Senior Consultant, and Consultant. At the Penn Center for Innovation, from September 2017 to March 2019, Chris operated as a Licensing Officer, focusing on the commercialization of diverse technologies and managing patent portfolios across multiple scientific disciplines. Additional experience includes serving as a QED Fellow at the University City Science Center, where Chris contributed to technology commercialization and conducted market research. Early career involvement featured a role as a Media Assistant at the University of Michigan Language Resource Center, providing technical support for foreign language instruction. Chris holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan, with minors in Physics and Modern Greek.
