QA Engineer at Formitable

Neil Mutsaers has had a varied work experience, beginning in 2012 when they were a Student Researcher at Dalhousie University. In 2013, they took on the role of Executive Assistant at GeoChem Research BV, where they consulted on matters pertaining to biochemistry in the nanotechnology sector and searched for and provided the company with relevant research papers and articles. In 2016, they became a Research Intern at Rathenau Instituut, where they were tasked with organizing the international SYNERGENE conference on synthetic biology and helping to translate a publication on the need for public arenas for discussing promises and problems of future technologies. In 2018, they took on the roles of Third Line Support Engineer and Second Line Support Analyst at Quby, where they were responsible for problem analysis of recurring issues, coordinating activities and communicating to stakeholders in case of service affecting complex problems, and monitoring and enforcing Service Level Agreements. In 2021, they moved to Eneco, taking on the roles of QA Engineer and Field Test Coordinator. Finally, they are currently working as a QA Engineer at Formitable, a role they have held since 2022.

Neil Mutsaers completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Honours Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, with a Minor in English, from Dalhousie University in 2014. Neil then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Management, Policy Analysis and Entreprenership in Health and Life Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), completing the theoretical coursework only. In 2019, they obtained an IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from AXELOS Global Best Practice. In 2021, they obtained a Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) from ISTQB® - International Software Testing Qualifications Board.
