Igor Lev, Ph.D. has had a varied and successful career in bioprocessing. Igor began their career in 2010 as a Laboratory Assistant at the Center of Radiation Medicine. In 2012, they joined the STATE RESEARCH CENTER FOR APPLIED MICROBIOLOGY & BIOTECHNOLOGY as a Researcher, where they successfully created a prototype of the antimycotic drug for veterinary use, managed a project to develop high-density cultivation of yeast technology for more than 150 strains, and identified, described, and typed a strain exhibiting antagonistic activity against pathogenic fungi. In 2016, they founded Inquisitor Home Brewing. In 2018, they joined BIOCAD as a Researcher, where they achieved an increase in mAb yield by 50%, developed the conditions for the cultivation of HEK-cells, and developed and implemented a pH control system for fed-batch and perfusion cultivation. In 2019, they joined Mybiotics Pharma LTD as a Consultant for upstream and downstream development, Head of Upstream and Downstream development, and Bioprocess Specialist. In their roles at Mybiotics Pharma LTD, they led and executed upscale process for the main company projects up to production scale, performed and lead development of the DSP and freeze-drying process for main company projects, and taken major part in designing of company GMP production facility. In 2022, they joined Formo as a Team Lead Bioprocessing.
Igor Lev, Ph.D. began their education in 2007 when they obtained a Master of Science in Genetics from Chelyabinsk State University. In 2012, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Biotechnology from the State Research Centre for Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology.
