Early career experiences include serving as a Design Assistant at SRM Architecture + Marketing. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Marylhurst University, a Graduate Certificate in Transportation Planning from the Portland State University School of Urban Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in English/Communications from Rutgers University.
