Wenhua Lu

Wenhua Lu is an experienced professional in fermentation and biochemical engineering, currently serving as the Director at Fornia BioSolutions, Inc., after progressing through roles such as Associate Director and Principal Scientist since August 2018. Previously, Wenhua held senior scientist positions at Corbion Biotech, Inc., and TerraVia Holdings, Inc., focusing on fermentation process development for omega-3 DHA and tailored oil production using microalgae. An early career included roles at SyntheZyme Inc. and postdoctoral research at Polytechnic Institute of New York University, where Wenhua specialized in metabolic engineering and fermentation optimization. Wenhua Lu obtained a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Science, after completing a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from Shandong University.
