Scott Mattila has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Scott began their career in 1996 as a Pumping Unit Mechanic/Truck Driver at Gene Watson Construction Inc., where they were promoted to Crew Leader/Crane Operator in 2004 and Supervisor/Relief Manager in 2006. In 2013, they joined Hydronix Inc. as a Supervisor/Crew Lead/Pumping Unit Mechanic, where they were responsible for the repair and maintenance of all pumping units in the Oxy Mukizna field. Scott also trained incoming personnel on pumping unit maintenance and repairs. The same year, they joined Southern Sierra/Liberty Lift as a Crew Lead/Crane Operator. In 2015, they joined KBA Engineering as a Crew Lead/Pumping Unit Mechanic/Crane Operator, where they were responsible for optimization swaps and well abandonments of all pumping units for Aera and Belridge. Scott also trained incoming personnel on pumping unit maintenance, repairs, and moves. In 2016, they joined West Coast Construction as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Finally, in 2017, they joined Foro Energy as a Lead Crane Operator/Crew Lead. In addition to their work in the oil and gas industry, Scott Mattila has also worked as a Correctional Officer at the Taft Police Department Correctional Facility from 2003-2006 and as a Detention Deputy at the Kern County Sheriff's Department from 2000-2003.
Scott Mattila attended Taft College from 2000-2002, earning a degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections. Scott then went on to attend Columbia Southern University from 2017-2019, where they earned an Associate of Science in Occupational Safety and Health.
