Jan Olav Skogøy

Jan Olav Skogøy currently serves as Chef for Servicedivisionen at Forsvarsministeriets Ejendomsstyrelse since August 2022. Prior to this role, Jan Olav held various leadership positions within the Danish Ministry of Defence, including Deputy Chief of Staff in the Supply Chain Division from May 2019 to August 2022, and Commanding Officer of the Arctic Patrol Frigate with the Royal Danish Navy from January 2017 to May 2019. Additional experience includes serving as Assisting Chief of Staff at the Danish Defence Health Organisation and Head of Executive Office at the Danish Defence Command’s Naval Staff. Educational qualifications consist of a Master in Politics and Military Operations from the Royal Danish Defence College and various Bachelor’s degrees in maritime operations and submarine command from the Royal Danish Naval Academy and Maritime Warfare Center. Jan Olav's extensive career in military leadership and operations is underpinned by a solid academic background in both military and business disciplines.
