Alyssa L. Hughes

Alyssa "Allie" L. Hughes is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in law enforcement, military service, and the arts. Currently serving as a Deputy Sheriff at the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office since July 2021, Hughes has also been a Servicemember in the West Virginia National Guard since April 2006, fulfilling the role of a musician in the 249th Army Band. Previous positions include Administrative Assistant with the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection from October 2012 to August 2021, and Photographer for the Charleston Daily Mail from January 2013 to December 2015, where contributions were made to various organizations and videography projects. Hughes has a background in education as a tutor at Marshall University from January 2008 to May 2012, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Aviation at Liberty University, previously earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Performance from Marshall University.
